The bill “On the Threshold of need criterion in Azerbaijan 2023” was discussed in the third reading of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament) on December 9.

The threshold of need criterion for 2023, having increased by 23 percent compared to 2022, will amount to 246 manat ($144). Thus, the thresholds of the subsistence minimum and the need criterion for 2023 are equalized.

After discussions, the bill was put to the vote and adopted in the third reading.
