Azerbaijan Reaffirms Support for One-China Policy, Denies Recognition of Taiwan Independence

Baku: Azerbaijan has reiterated its commitment to the one-China policy, emphasizing that it does not recognize Taiwan's independence. The statement was made by Aykhan Hajizada, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, in response to media queries concerning the current situation surrounding Taiwan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hajizada highlighted the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region as a crucial factor for international security. He affirmed that Azerbaijan's stance on the one-China policy remains unchanged, clear, and consistent.

Hajizada further stated that Azerbaijan supports the peaceful resolution of disputes within the framework of international law, specifically emphasizing the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity.
