Azerbaijan Recovers Weapons and Ammunition in Recently Liberated Territories


BAKU, Azerbaijan — In a significant security operation, Azerbaijani forces have discovered and seized a large cache of weapons and ammunition in areas recently liberated from occupation, according to Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry.



According to Trend News Agency, the Interior Ministry reported that from September 14 through September 20, security personnel conducted extensive searches across several districts, resulting in the recovery of military equipment. In Khankendi city alone, the operation netted six machine guns, two rifles, two grenades, three bayonet knives, 19 ammunition magazines, and 120 rounds of ammunition of various calibers. Additional finds included one machine gun, 29 grenades, two bayonet knives, and significant quantities of ammunition in the Khojavand and Shusha districts, further bolstering security measures in these areas.



The statement highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry to ensure the safety and security of the territories reclaimed, emphasizing the commitment to stabilizing these regions and preventing further conflicts.
