Baku: The customs duty on hides exported from Azerbaijan, including those of cattle, lambs, and equine animals, has been reduced by half. The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has amended the 'Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, import customs duty rates, and export customs duty rates' to enforce this change.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the previous regulation imposed a customs duty of USD 500 for every 1,000 kilograms of hides exported from the country, applicable until December 31, 2025. This duty will now be reduced to USD 250 per 1,000 kilograms starting from January 1, 2026, until December 31, 2026.
