Aghdam: Today, 103 families, totaling 405 residents, have been relocated to the city of Aghdam. Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, welcomed the residents and informed them about necessary matters of concern. ANAMA staff provided detailed explanations on mine safety, emphasizing safety rules. Following this, the keys to the new apartments were handed over to the relocated families. The return of the population to Aghdam city is being executed in phases.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in line with President Ilham Aliyev's instructions, the Great Return to the liberated territories is ongoing. The families relocating to Aghdam had been temporarily settled in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings. At this phase, 83 families comprising 308 people have been resettled in Aghdam. Specifically, 77 families (292 people) from Baku, 2 families (9 people) from Barda district, 1 family (3 people) from Sumgayit, 1 family (2 people) from Mingachevir, 1 family (1 person) from Aghjabadi district, and 1 family (1 person) from Ganja have been relocated. In total, 103 families consisting of 405 people have been resettled.
The residents returning to their native land expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care provided to them. They also conveyed appreciation to the Azerbaijani Army, the soldiers, and officers who liberated the lands from occupation, and wished mercy upon the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this cause.
