Kalbajar: Residents relocated to Kalbajar city were presented with keys to their apartments, APA’s local bureau reports. Officials from the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kalbajar district and the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons attended the ceremony, marking another step in the ongoing resettlement initiative.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the latest relocation convoy has arrived in Kalbajar, resettling 32 families, which total 139 people, into newly constructed apartments. This effort is part of President Ilham Aliyev’s Great Return initiative aimed at moving residents back to liberated territories. The families were originally from various regions, including 14 families from Ganja city, 12 from Baku city, 3 from the Absheron region, and others from Tartar, Samukh, and Mingachevir.

Before their relocation, these families were temporarily settled in different parts of the country, often in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings. The new housing in Kalbajar offers them a permanent residence as part of Azerbaijan’s broader efforts to restore and repopulate the area.
