Khojavend: Azerbaijan has successfully relocated another group of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) to the city of Khojavend, with families receiving house keys in a ceremony held today. The event marks a significant step in the country's resettlement efforts, aimed at providing permanent homes for those affected by past conflicts.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the families were welcomed to their new homes and were given mine safety awareness information by employees of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA). The key handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Presidential Special Representative's Office, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, and other government representatives.

The relocation involved 33 families, comprising a total of 142 people, who have now settled into their new residences in Khojavend city. The families expressed their gratitude for the conditions provided and honored the memory of martyrs who had sacrificed their lives in the conflict. The initiative is part of Azerbaijan's broader plan to resettle IDPs who have been living in temporary accommodations, such as dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings, across various regions of the republic.

The latest convoy of relocated families arrived in Khojavend, marking a continuation of the government's commitment to improving the living conditions of displaced citizens. The relocation process underscores Azerbaijan's dedication to ensuring that former IDPs are integrated into the community, with safety measures and support systems in place to facilitate a smooth transition.
