Khanyurdu: A total of 15 families, comprising 46 individuals, have been successfully resettled in the village of Khanyurdu in the Khojaly district, where they received the keys to their new homes. The key handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Representative Office of the Azerbaijani President in Khankendi, as well as representatives from the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, and the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the latest relocation convoy has arrived in Khanyurdu, marking another phase in the ongoing resettlement efforts under the Great Return program. This initiative aims to assist former internally displaced persons who had previously been living in temporary accommodations such as dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings in various regions including Goranboy, Sumgayit, Barda, Absheron, and Baku city.
With this recent relocation, the total number of families resettled in Khanyurdu village has reached 69, accounting for 237 individuals. This program is part of a broader effort to provide stable housing and improve living conditions for those displaced by conflict in the region.
