During 2003-2023, 20,703.6 km of new roads were built, reconstructed, and repaired in Azerbaijan, says State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, APA reports.

“During the years 2003-2023, 20,703.6 km of new roads, including 6,782.6 km of republican importance, 11,418.7 km of local importance, 2,454.4 km of Baku city roads, and 47.9 km of Sumgait city roads were built, reconstructed and repaired”, says the Agency.

According to information, Azerbaijan managed to take 1st place among the CIS countries and 27th place among 140 countries of the world in the ranking of road infrastructure quality.
