Zangilan: Azerbaijan has successfully restored five kahrizes in the liberated Horovlu village, marking a significant step in the development of the region’s infrastructure. The restoration is part of a broader strategy to revitalize kahrizes across Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Nargiz Garajayeva, a senior advisor to the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan regions, emphasized the need for a comprehensive strategy for the restoration of kahrizes. Garajayeva, who is also a member of the working group on environmental issues, highlighted the importance of these water systems for the sustainable livelihood of residents in the liberated areas.
The restoration efforts in 2024 have already seen the completion of five kahrizes in Horovlu village. However, the “Bash kahriz,” noted for its abundance, remains unrestored. The focus on kahrizes is part of a wider initiative to ensure the sustainable development of the region, which has seen significant changes following its liberation.
