Baku: Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, has emphasized the importance of receiving equal financial assistance from the European Union as Armenia. During a press conference reviewing the year's developments, Bayramov mentioned discussions surrounding the European Peace Fund, which initially decided to allocate 10 million euros to Armenia.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bayramov highlighted that some countries, notably Hungary, advocated for equivalent assistance to be extended to Azerbaijan. Although the 10 million euros allocated to Azerbaijan came from sources other than the European Peace Fund, it was earmarked specifically for demining operations. With information suggesting that the EU plans to allocate 20 million euros to Armenia, Bayramov stressed the importance of Azerbaijan receiving the same amount. He confirmed that efforts to secure this funding are ongoing, with continued support from Hungary.
