Baku: Azerbaijan is set to broaden its collaboration with US companies in the sectors of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, as stated by Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov during a briefing on the outcomes of the first Azerbaijan-US Economic Dialogue held in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev's meeting with Oracle Corporation's CEO in February initiated the drafting of a memorandum of understanding to explore joint opportunities in AI and other technological fields. Furthermore, SOCAR has recently entered into a partnership agreement with another US corporation in this domain. Minister Jabbarov emphasized that the collaboration extends beyond current projects, encompassing a wide range of areas from regulatory frameworks to technology implementation.
Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted Azerbaijan's aim to establish an innovation ecosystem through partnerships with leading US technology companies and hyperscaler platforms amid rapid technological advancements. Talks are ongoing between Azerbaijani state institutions, the private sector, and major US tech and cloud service firms, with project details to be disclosed once finalized.
He reiterated Azerbaijan's primary objective of becoming a prominent adopter of new technologies, facilitating economic and social progress through improved access to these innovations.
