Baku: Azerbaijan's cotton exports have shown a significant increase in the first seven months of this year, with the country exporting cotton valued at USD 172,264.47 thousand. This information was disclosed by the State Customs Committee, as reported by APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this export figure represents a 31.4% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. The report also highlights that the value of cotton imported into Azerbaijan during the same period amounted to USD 6,039.37 thousand, marking a 6.6% rise compared to 2024.
In terms of Azerbaijan's overall trade, cotton exports made up 0.89% of the nation's total exports from January to July this year. Meanwhile, cotton imports constituted 0.06% of the total imports during the same timeframe.
