Baku: Azerbaijan earned nearly $700 million from fruit and vegetable exports between January and October 2025.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the country exported 660.5 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 695 million 474.5 thousand US dollars, based on calculations from the State Customs Committee report.
Compared to the previous year, the value of exports increased by 30%, or 160.5 million dollars, while the volume rose by 28.1%, or 144.8 thousand tons. In the first 10 months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 515.7 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables, valued at 535 million US dollars.
Notably, the main exported products during this period included tomatoes valued at 159.8 million dollars (146.4 thousand tons), hazelnuts at 124.5 million dollars (15.4 thousand tons), persimmons at 66.9 million dollars (91.9 thousand tons), apples at 57.4 million dollars (81.8 thousand tons), potatoes at 28.2 million dollars (70.9 thousand tons), and pomegranates at 20.5 million dollars (21.4 thousand tons).
The share of fruits and vegetables in Azerbaijan’s total exports during the reporting period was 3.21%, while their contribution to non-oil product exports was 23.28%.
