Baku:Carpet production in Azerbaijan has seen a significant rise, with 152.7 thousand square meters of carpets and carpet products produced from January to September this year.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, this production figure represents an increase of 61.1 times compared to the same period last year.

As of October 1, industrial enterprises in Azerbaijan had 5.3 thousand square meters of finished carpet products in stock. During the reporting period, the country exported carpets and other woven floor coverings valued at $252.6 thousand. In contrast, the value of imported carpets and woven floor coverings reached $14 million 664.8 thousand. Azerbaijan primarily imported carpets from Türkiye, Iran, China, and Uzbekistan between January and August of this year.
