Baku: Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector exports experienced a 9.9% increase during the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, reaching a total of 1.8 billion US dollars.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this growth was highlighted in the July issue of the Export Review by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

In January-June 2025, food product exports rose by 19.1%, achieving a value of 564.7 million US dollars. The first half of the year also saw sugar exports increase by 54.4% or 7.4 million US dollars, chemical industry products by 38.7% or 48.7 million US dollars, and fruit and vegetable exports by 24.3% or 81.2 million US dollars. Additionally, there was a rise in cotton yarn exports by 16.6% or 1.8 million US dollars, ferrous metals and related products by 12.5% or 5.1 million US dollars, tea by 2% or 62.5 thousand US dollars, and aluminum products by 0.7% or 666.8 thousand US dollars compared to the previous year.

Moreover, the exports of agricultural products showed a significant increase of 21.9%, amounting to 455.2 million US dollars, while agro-industrial products exports rose by 7.7%, totaling 145 million US dollars. Overall, the combined exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products grew by 18.2%, reaching 600.3 million US dollars.
