Azerbaijan Sees Significant Increase in Non-Oil Exports in 2025

Baku: Azerbaijan's non-oil exports reached $2.09 billion in the first seven months of 2025, marking an 11.4 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this growth highlights the country's ongoing efforts to diversify its economy beyond oil.

During this period, the exports of food products saw a notable rise of 23.9 percent, amounting to $689 million. The report also detailed increases in specific product categories compared to the previous year. Sugar exports increased by $10.9 million, or 55.1 percent, while fruits and vegetables rose by $122.6 million, or 31.9 percent. Additionally, chemical industry products saw an increase of $45.2 million, or 30.4 percent; ferrous metals and related products grew by $8.6 million, or 19.1 percent; cotton yarn exports rose by $2.6 million, or 18.2 percent; and tea exports increased by $317,000, or 8.8 percent.

Further, agricultural products exports surged by 27.9 percent, reaching $551.4 million, while agro-industrial product exports grew by 7.3 percent to $178.8 million. Altogether, the exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products increased by 22.1 percent, totaling $730.2 million.
