Baku: Azerbaijan imported more than 63,000 cars this year during the period of January-July 2025, with a total of 63,401 vehicles valued at 1 billion 170 million 990 thousand US dollars, as reported by the State Customs Committee to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the number of vehicles imported into the country increased by 23.9%, or 12,222 units, compared to the same period in 2024. The value of these imports also saw a rise of 24.1%, amounting to an additional 227.1 million dollars. In January-July 2024, Azerbaijan imported 51,179 vehicles worth 943 million 791 thousand US dollars.

The report further indicates that the number of vehicles powered solely by electric engines imported during this period was 1,180 units, reflecting a decrease of 34% compared to the corresponding period last year.
