Azerbaijan Sees Substantial Rise in Crude Oil Exports to Tunisia

Baku: Azerbaijan's crude oil exports to Tunisia have seen a significant increase in the first seven months of 2026. In January to July, Azerbaijan exported a total of 368,916.34 tons of crude oil to Tunisia, representing a 2.9-fold increase, or an additional 243,241.99 tons compared to the same period last year, according to the State Customs Committee.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the value of these exports to Tunisia amounted to $225.47 million, marking a 3.3-fold increase, or an additional $157.54 million from the previous year. This surge in exports highlights Tunisia's growing role as a destination for Azerbaijani crude oil.

During this reporting period, crude oil shipments to Tunisia accounted for 2.9% of Azerbaijan's total oil exports. Azerbaijan exported crude oil and oil products derived from bituminous rocks to 11 countries, with a total value of $8 billion 32 million 903.55 thousand, and a volume of 12 million 722 thousand 590.97 tons, as processed by customs authorities.
