Azerbaijan Showcases Defense Capabilities at SAHA EXPO 2024 in Istanbul


ISTANBUL: Azerbaijan is prominently participating in the “SAHA EXPO 2024” defense and aerospace exhibition currently underway in Istanbul, Turkey. The event, which began on October 22, sees Azerbaijan represented by the State-Owned “Azerisilah” Defense Industry Holding CJSC under the Ministry of Defense Industry.

According to Trend News Agency, the Azerbaijani stand at the exhibition features a diverse array of 57 defense products. These include sniper rifles, mortars of various calibers, automatic rifles, heavy machine guns, automatic cannons, and grenade launchers, in addition to ammunition for these weapons. The Azerbaijani delegation is led by Minister of Defense Industry, Vugar Mustafayev.

SAHA EXPO 2024 is organized by SAHA Istanbul, recognized as Europe’s largest industrial cluster. The event is held under the patronage of the Turkish Presidential Administration, with support from several ministries and military institutions. The exhibition, which spans a total of 90,000 square meters at the Istanbul
Exhibition Center, is set to continue until October 26 across eight halls.

This year’s iteration of SAHA EXPO has attracted over 1,400 delegates, including more than 300 official representatives and over 150 business delegations from various countries. Attendees have the opportunity to explore more than 300 types of products on display, with over 200 document-signing ceremonies anticipated. Notably, some items are being showcased to the public for the first time at this event.
