Azerbaijan Standardization Institute Adopts New State Standards in Oil and Chemical Sectors

Baku: The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) has announced the adoption of eight new state standards in the oil and chemical sectors. This development was confirmed by AZSTAND in a statement to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the new standards were discussed and approved by the Technical Committee for Standardization of ‘Additives, lubricating oils, lubricants, and special fluids’ (AZSTAND/TK 34). These standards have now been incorporated into the State Fund of Normative Documents on Standardization.

The newly adopted standards were developed from authentic translations of relevant international standards. They aim to serve as reference standards for the technical regulation titled “On requirements for lubricants, oils, and special fluids.” This initiative is part of the implementation of clause 8.2.2 of the “State Program for 2023-2025,” which seeks to align the national standardization system with international requirements.
