Azerbaijan Strengthens Tourism Ties with China Through Collaborative Workshops

Jinan: The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), in collaboration with China Travel Group (CTG), has successfully organized a series of workshops in Jinan, Shijiazhuang, and Taiyuan, aimed at promoting Azerbaijan's tourism potential in the People's Republic of China. These events brought together over 300 delegates from China's tourism industry, focusing on enhancing tourism cooperation between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the workshops featured presentations that introduced Azerbaijan's tourism offerings tailored for the Chinese market. Attendees were informed about the country's cultural and historical heritage, along with its primary travel routes. The initiative is part of Azerbaijan's broader strategy to attract more Chinese tourists by showcasing its diverse tourism products.

The engagement appears to be yielding positive results, as Chinese arrivals to Azerbaijan reached 60,636 by November 2025. This figure represents a significant 43.1% increase compared to the same period last year, indicating a growing interest among Chinese travelers in exploring Azerbaijan.
