Azerbaijan to Allocate Significant Funds for AI and Cybersecurity Strategies in 2026

Baku: Azerbaijan is set to allocate substantial funds from its state budget in 2026 to support its strategies in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital development. The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport will receive 5 million manats for the implementation of the “Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025-2028”.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026” outlines these financial commitments. In addition to the allocation for artificial intelligence, 5.8 million manats are projected for the “Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Information Security and Cybersecurity for 2023-2027”.

Moreover, the government plans to allocate another 5 million manats specifically for the “Digital Development Concept in the Republic of Azerbaijan”. These financial commitments highlight Azerbaijan’s focus on advancing its digital infrastructure and security frameworks.
