Azerbaijan to Appoint New Judges to Key Courts of Appeal


Baku: New judges will be appointed to the Baku, Sumgayit, Sheki, and Shirvan Courts of Appeal, as reflected in a draft included in the agenda of the meeting of the Committee for Law Policy and State-Building of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) held today, APA reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft law outlines several key appointments. Zafar Ahmadov is set to become a judge of the Baku Court of Appeal, while Orkhan Ismailov, currently a judge of the Shirvan Court of Appeal, will be reassigned to the Baku Court of Appeal. Aqil Alisa Musayev, who serves as the chairman of the Fuzuli District Court, will also join the Baku Court of Appeal due to a change in position.



Additionally, the draft law indicates that the following judges will be dismissed from their roles at the Baku Court of Appeal due to position changes: Allahverdiyev Elbey Hidayet, Eyyubov Farid Ilham, and Sariyev Khayal Ajdar. In reshuffling efforts, Kamran Mukhtarov, a judge of the Baku Court on Grave Crimes, and Elchin Mammadov, a judge of the Sumgayit Court on Grave Crimes, will be appointed to the Sumgayit Court of Appeal.



Furthermore, Vugar Musayev from the Sheki Administrative Court and Taleh Musayev of the Shamkir District Court will transition to the Sheki Court of Appeal. In Shirvan, Ali Aliyev, Javid Sultanov, Jeyhun Guliyev, and Mirlatif Sadigov will assume new roles as judges of the Shirvan Court of Appeals, following changes in their positions. Conversely, Elshad Ibish Aliyev will be dismissed from his position at the Shirvan Court of Appeals due to a change in position.
