Baku: The circulation of asbestos and asbestos-containing materials will be banned in Azerbaijan. This decision is reflected in the recent amendments to the law 'On the List of Items Prohibited from Civil Circulation (Withdrawn from Civil Circulation),' which have been approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this new regulation is set to enter into force on July 1, 2027. The amendments aim to address concerns surrounding the use of asbestos and its associated health risks.
