Baku:Monitoring compliance with the unified dress code rules in schools across Azerbaijan is set to continue, as stated by Firudin Gurbanov, the Deputy Minister of Science and Education.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Gurbanov emphasized the importance of the role parents play in ensuring their children attend school and adhere to school rules. He noted that continuous absence from classes can create gaps in students' knowledge, affecting their academic progression. He also mentioned that awareness-raising activities should be prioritized to address these issues.
The Deputy Minister highlighted that teachers are subject to labor relations and legislation, which include compliance with clothing requirements as part of their professional duties. He stressed that failure to meet job duties or repeated disciplinary violations are considered unlawful. Most teachers are reportedly adhering to these rules, and Gurbanov expressed his expectation for teachers to support their schools and students diligently.
Gurbanov further elaborated that the monitoring activities, aligned with decisions from the Cabinet of Ministers, focus on both students and teachers. The purpose is to assess not only compliance but also how schools implement and explain these rules, along with the responsibilities of school administrations in supervision and awareness-raising efforts.
