Baku: Azerbaijan is taking steps to define frequency bands for the implementation of 5G technology and update its licensing framework. Relevant amendments to the License Agreement will be prepared to facilitate this transition.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, frequency bands for 5G technology will be determined, and these bands will be cleared of other services and allocated to operators. Additionally, coordination with neighboring countries regarding 5G frequency bands is planned to ensure seamless implementation.

The work related to defining and clearing frequency bands is expected to be completed within the current year.
