Balakan: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has authorized the planning and construction of a passenger cable car line in Heydar Aliyev Park, located in the Balakan district.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a total of 5 million manats has been earmarked from the presidential reserve fund for this project. This allocation is part of the state budget provisions for 2025. The Ministry of Digital Development and Transportation of the Republic of Azerbaijan will oversee the design and construction of the cable car line.

The initiative aims to enhance transportation options and potentially boost tourism in the Balakan district. The development of the cable car line is expected to provide a modern and efficient means of transportation for both residents and visitors to the area.
