Baku: Azerbaijan is set to develop simplified customs clearance procedures for weapons and ammunition as part of a new initiative. The procedures for conducting customs control and customs audits will be determined, while the simplified procedures will be specifically focused on the customs clearance of weapons and ammunition.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this development is outlined in President Ilham Aliyev's Decree concerning amendments to the Customs Code. The Decree mandates the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare proposals within seven months regarding the procedures for customs control and audits. These proposals will then be submitted to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for consideration.
