Baku: The Rules for Maintaining an Information Security Risk Register have been approved in Azerbaijan, marking a significant step towards enhancing the country's cybersecurity framework. A 'Threats and Solutions' catalogue will be created to address information security threats, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted this decision to bolster cybersecurity measures. This initiative aligns with the Action Plan outlined in the 'Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Information Security and Cybersecurity for 2023-2027'. This strategy, approved by Presidential Order No. 4060 on August 28, 2023, mandates the creation of the 'Threats and Solutions' catalogue on the official website of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The catalogue will function as a continuously updated repository, organizing information security and cybersecurity threats by category. The State Service of Special Communication and Information Security is tasked with ensuring regular updates to the catalogue. Furthermore, after the establishment of risk registers within state bodies, the State Service will evaluate their compliance with the Rules to maintain robust cybersecurity standards.
