Baku: Azerbaijan is set to establish diplomatic relations with the Central African Republic in September, marking a significant step in its diplomatic outreach within Africa. This announcement was made by Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev during an international conference celebrating 'Africa Day' in Baku.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Rafiyev emphasized that Azerbaijan has significantly increased its cooperation with African nations in recent years. The country has intensified its political dialogue, expanded diplomatic ties, and enhanced cooperation across multiple sectors. Since last year alone, Azerbaijan has conducted 12 rounds of political consultations with various African countries.

Rafiyev highlighted that Azerbaijan currently maintains diplomatic relations with all African nations except the Central African Republic. The establishment of diplomatic ties with this nation is anticipated to occur in September, further strengthening Azerbaijan's presence and cooperation on the African continent.
