Baku: A 'Digital nomad' visa subtype will be established, APA reports. This initiative is part of the 'State Program for the Development of Tourism in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030,' which was approved by an Order of President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Program outlines that during 2027-2028, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will collaborate with relevant authorities to study international practices in this area. The process will include preparing a draft amendment to the Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, coordinating and submitting the draft to the relevant authorities, and launching the new visa subtype in electronic form.
