BAKU: Azerbaijan is set to enhance its maritime capabilities with the addition of nearly 20 new vessels over the coming years, as announced by Elmin Mammadov, the Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport. This development was revealed during an event titled “Sustainable Transport for the Future” held in Baku.

According to Trend News Agency, Elmin Mammadov also disclosed plans for the expansion of other transport sectors in Azerbaijan. In the near future, the Azerbaijan Railways and the Baku Metro will see an increase in their fleets with the introduction of new trains and railcars. The aviation sector has already seen significant growth, with the incorporation of over 30 modern aircraft, highlighting the country’s commitment to modernization and sustainable transport infrastructure.
