BAKU: Construction projects are set to begin in the Gorchu settlement, Pirjahan, and Shalva villages within Azerbaijan's Lachin district, as announced by Tofig Islamov, the acting executive director of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in Lachin during a panel discussion at Caspian Construction Week. The initiative is part of a broader effort to restore the district's infrastructure. According to Trend News Agency, Islamov highlighted that the district has already seen the completion of preliminary rehabilitation work on 226 dwellings. Currently, the design work for the second phase of rehabilitation is in progress, with completion expected by the beginning of next year. This upcoming phase, scheduled to start in early spring of 2025, will focus on the restoration of residences, roadways, tourist sites, hotels, and apartment complexes. Plans are also in place to develop new industrial facilities to boost local employment opportunities. Islamov further disclosed that three contracts for d esign work have been finalized, while work on an additional seven contracts is underway, underlining the ongoing commitment to the district's renewal.
