Baku — The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan plans to install web cameras in polling stations within the newly liberated territories to ensure transparency in upcoming elections, as stated by CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov, according to APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Panahov highlighted that international observers have already praised the rapid progress made in these areas and expressed no objections to the electoral preparations. However, he noted that webcams, which are vital for ensuring transparent voting processes, have not yet been installed in these territories. The CEC has applied to relevant institutions to address this issue. Additionally, Panahov mentioned that over 42,000 voters are expected to participate in the elections from the liberated territories, underscoring the significance of these measures in integrating these areas into national electoral processes.
