BAKU: Azerbaijan is set to launch the SIMAPay solution, an innovative digital payment system, according to Tamerlan Mashadihasanli, Head of Products and Services Department at Azintelecom LLC. The announcement was made at the ‘Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Microfinance’ conference in Baku, highlighting the country’s commitment to advancing digital financial services.

According to Trend News Agency, Mashadihasanli also disclosed ongoing efforts to implement the SIMA Access system at building entrances. This new-generation digital signature electronic system relies on biometric authentication to enhance security and accessibility. He mentioned that, contingent on successful testing, SIMA Access could be available for purchase in the local market by next year. The introduction of these solutions aligns with Azerbaijan’s broader strategy to integrate cutting-edge technology into everyday transactions and infrastructure.
