Bishkek: Azerbaijan is set to participate in the inaugural Super 4 Wrestling (S4W) tournament, scheduled to be held on February 13 at the Zhashtyk Sports Arena. The event will introduce a new competition format where four world-class athletes will contend for the championship belt in a single weight category.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the tournament will attract leading wrestlers from countries including Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Mongolia, Japan, the United States, and Bulgaria. This diverse representation underscores the global appeal and competitive nature of the event.
The S4W tournament in Bishkek is among the first of four such events planned to take place in various capital cities around the world over the coming year. This innovative format aims to enhance the competitive landscape of international wrestling, offering a fresh perspective for athletes and spectators alike.
