Ganja:President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan commended Belarus for its successful management of the 2nd CIS Games, noting that Belarus' experience will significantly benefit Azerbaijan as it prepares to host the upcoming 3rd CIS Games. According to Trend News Agency, during a limited format meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council, President Aliyev highlighted the pivotal role of Belarus' expertise in organizing such a large-scale sporting event. "Next year, the 3rd CIS Games will be held in Azerbaijan. The city of Ganja will become the sports capital. Competitions will also be held in more than 10 cities across Azerbaijan," stated President Aliyev. He also seized the opportunity to congratulate Belarus on their accomplishments, emphasizing the importance of shared experiences between the CIS countries.
