Tashkent:Azerbaijan is set to attend the 8th International Mining and Metals Forum, known as UIMF 2026, which will be held in Tashkent on October 27-28.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event is expected to gather more than 500 delegates from 19 countries.

The forum will focus on the theme 'From Resources to Global Opportunities' and will include seven sessions. These sessions will cover a range of topics including the development of critical mineral extraction, attracting investments, the application of artificial intelligence in geological exploration, the use of autonomous systems in mining operations, and energy efficiency in the industry.

The event will take place at the Uzexpocentre exhibition complex and is supported by Uzbekistan's Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology along with the Metallurgy Association.
