Baku: Azerbaijan plans to reduce the initial contract term for women in extended active military service from three years to six months. This change is part of the proposed amendments to the laws 'On Approval of the Regulation on Military Service' and 'On Military Duty and Military Service.'

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendments were submitted for discussion at a recent meeting of the Milli Majlis' Defence, Security and Counter-Corruption Committee. The proposed changes aim to adjust the terms of military service for women, reflecting a significant shift in policy.
