Khankendi: Azerbaijan is set to restore an additional 30 houses in Childiran village by the end of this year, as announced by Afat Telmangizi, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi, and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly. This update was shared with journalists, as reported by APA's local bureau.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Childiran village currently contains 177 individual houses, with 69 being uninhabitable and 108 partially habitable. As of now, 28 houses have been restored to operational condition. Telmangizi noted that 13 families, comprising 48 people, have already returned to the village.

The village is also seeing significant improvements in its infrastructure. Existing facilities, such as two transformers, electricity, and gas lines, have been restored, while new electricity, gas, and communication lines have been installed. Additionally, a water pump has been activated, water reservoirs with a capacity of 190 cubic meters have been cleaned, and a sub-artesian well has been repaired. The restoration of 8.4 kilometers of intra-village roads and the establishment of a park are also part of the ongoing developments.

Childiran village, located in the administrative-territorial unit of the Aghdara district, is set in a foothill area. Before its occupation, the local population primarily engaged in livestock farming and crop cultivation. The village was equipped with a school, cultural center, library, and medical station. The area is rich in historical landmarks, including the 12th-century 'Alban temple' and the 13th-century 'Red temple'. The village was liberated following an anti-terror operation by the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan in September 2023.
