TASHKENT – Azerbaijan is set to begin construction on a five-star hotel and a large residential complex in the heart of Tashkent, as part of a broader investment initiative that includes several collaborative projects between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, executive director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), detailed the plans in a statement to journalists, noting that these developments are among seven new projects launched with Azerbaijani investment in Uzbekistan. The construction of the hotel is scheduled to start in September, alongside the residential complex, marking a significant expansion of Azerbaijani presence in Uzbekistan’s capital. Additionally, Abdullayev highlighted the establishment of an industrial production facility by an Azerbaijani company in Uzbekistan, with parallel investments by Uzbekistan in textile enterprises across various regions in Azerbaijan.
