Azerbaijan Tour Guides Association Promotes Heritage and Wine Culture in Hungary

BUDAPEST — In a vibrant cultural presentation, the Azerbaijan Tour Guides Association, together with the Azerbaijan House in Hungary, showcased the rich historical and cultural offerings of Azerbaijan to an enthusiastic Hungarian audience.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, a distinguished member of the Azerbaijan Tour Guides Association who led the event, the presentation was designed to introduce attendees to the architectural wonders of Baku, including its UNESCO-protected Old Town and the modern Heydar Aliyev Center. The event featured a deep dive into Azerbaijan’s architectural history, juxtaposing its oil baron legacies with contemporary landmarks like the burgeoning White City project.

A highlight of the presentation was the celebration of Azerbaijani wine culture, offering guests a tasting experience courtesy of AzGranata Winery. The session included traditional Azerbaijani varietals such as Bayanshira and Medrese, alongside well-known international types like Saperavi and Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing the diversity and quality of the local viticulture.

In addition to architectural and wine insights, the event was enriched with Azerbaijani dance performances, creating a lively atmosphere that encouraged audience engagement and discussions about travel opportunities to Azerbaijan.
