Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing development of relations between Azerbaijan and the United States, highlighting their successful trajectory. In a congratulatory letter to President Donald Trump on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence, President Aliyev emphasized the strategic partnership between the two nations and extended gratitude for the attention given to strengthening bilateral relations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev underscored the importance of the Charter on Strategic Partnership signed in February, which he believes has taken Azerbaijan-United States relations to a new level. The charter is expected to boost collaboration in traditional sectors such as the economy, energy, connectivity, and security, as well as in emerging fields like digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
President Aliyev also commended efforts to advance peace in the South Caucasus, noting the positive outcomes of a trilateral meeting held at the White House last year. He highlighted the peaceful coexistence and burgeoning trade relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, attributing this progress to the initiatives led by President Trump. Additionally, Aliyev appreciated U.S. support for infrastructure projects, particularly the 'Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,' aimed at enhancing connectivity between Asia and Europe.
