Tashkent: The Azerbaijan University and the Central Asian University of Uzbekistan have formalized their collaborative efforts by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation. This agreement marks a significant step toward strengthening academic ties between the two institutions.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the MoU was signed by Saadat Aliyeva, Rector of Azerbaijan University and PhD in Philology, alongside Kamran Gulamov, Rector of the Central Asian University. The signing took place during the “QS Eurasia Forum 2025,” an event organized by the global university rankings agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and hosted by the Central Asian University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The document aims to advance Azerbaijan University’s key priorities in terms of internationalization. It is designed to ensure a more systematic approach to organizing partnerships with foreign higher education institutions. The MoU outlines plans for joint teaching and research activities, as well as exchanges involving students and teachers, thereby fostering a cooperative academic environment.
