Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Rashad Ismayilov, emphasized the importance of raising the issue of the declining water level of the Caspian Sea at an international level during an event celebrating World Environment Day (WED) in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Ismayilov highlighted Azerbaijan's commitment to biodiversity and environmental protection. He noted that the country's protected areas have expanded by over 10% in recent years. However, he pointed out that the decreasing water level of the Caspian Sea remains a significant concern that Azerbaijan is determined to address on a global platform.
