Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Relations Flourish Amid High-Level Meetings

Bukhara: High-level relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan continue to thrive at the parliamentary level as confirmed by a recent meeting between Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva during Gafarova's working visit to Bukhara, Uzbekistan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions underscored the ongoing development of relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries, highlighting the pivotal role of the heads of state in deepening these bilateral ties. The strong political will exhibited by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan has been instrumental in not only expanding these relations but also in elevating their strategic partnership to a new qualitative stage. Cooperation continues to flourish across a broad spectrum of fields.

The meeting emphasized the continued success of high-level relations at the parliamentary level. Both sides commended the cooperation between the parliaments, which extends bilaterally as well as within international parliamentary organizations. Reciprocal visits and regular meetings between legislative leaders and deputies were noted as significant contributors to the strengthening of interparliamentary ties.

Furthermore, the organization of the Second Asian Women's Forum in Uzbekistan was highlighted, with optimism expressed that the event would bolster initiatives promoting the increased participation of women in political, economic, and social spheres. The two sides also exchanged views on additional matters of mutual interest.
