Khojaly: Azerbaijan continues its efforts to identify the remains of individuals discovered in a mass grave in Khojaly. The process is ongoing for five out of the 18 sets of remains found in the region.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Eldar Samedov, Deputy Head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, shared with journalists that 210 individuals have been registered as missing in connection to the Khojaly genocide. Among these, 38 are children, 42 are military personnel, and the remaining are civilians.
Last year, 10 sets of remains were successfully identified and returned to their families. The discovery of this mass grave marks the third such site found in Khojaly. Authorities are in the process of registering and documenting these graves.
