Azerbaijani and Belarusian Interior Ministries Enhance Cooperation with New Protocol

Baku: The Ministries of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan and Belarus signed a protocol on cooperation during the visit of Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Lieutenant-General Ivan Kubrakov to Azerbaijan. The protocol was signed by Azerbaijan's Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, and his Belarusian counterpart, Lieutenant-General Ivan Kubrakov.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani Interior Minister emphasized the ongoing cooperation between the two countries in law enforcement. The focus is on combating significant forms of transnational organized crime, such as illicit drug trafficking, human trafficking, illegal migration, and cybercrime. He stressed that achieving effective results in these areas is feasible only through close and coordinated joint efforts.

The meeting also included discussions on other issues of mutual interest, aiming to further strengthen the partnership between Azerbaijan and Belarus in various aspects of law enforcement. The signing of the protocol marks a significant step in the bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in addressing shared security challenges.
