Azerbaijani and Georgian Supreme Courts Sign Cooperation Agreement

Baku:The Supreme Courts of Azerbaijan and Georgia have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation. The agreement, signed by Inam Karimov, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, and Nino Kadagidze, Chair of the Supreme Court of Georgia, aims to enhance judicial collaboration between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the MoU focuses on promoting the mutual exchange of judicial experience, improving the professional knowledge and skills of judges and court staff, and strengthening bilateral relations between the supreme courts.

Inam Karimov highlighted that the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia present valuable opportunities for judicial cooperation. He mentioned that reciprocal visits and ongoing dialogue are essential for sharing expertise and strengthening ties. Karimov also updated his Georgian counterpart on Azerbaijan's judicial and legal reforms, which aim to improve justice efficiency and accessibility and establish uniform judicial practices.

The discussions also touched on the significance of integrating modern technologies into judicial systems and the benefits of exchanging expertise in this field. Nino Kadagidze expressed her commitment to fostering relations between the two countries' supreme courts and emphasized the advantages of shared judicial expertise.
